SecBoard-Einordnung

Beschreibung

Use of predictable filenames in Ivanti Connect Secure before versions 25.1.1.3 and 22.8R2.6 allows a remote authenticated attacker to upload files with attacker-controlled content to a known location on disk.

Erkennung & Indikatoren

Ausnutzung

Aktiv ausgenutzt (CISA KEV). Threat actors exploited this flaw alongside an authentication bypass vulnerability (CVE-2026-104935) and a privilege escalation flaw (CVE-2026-111357) in zero-day attacks since at least October 1.

Threat-Hunting-Queries

This vulnerability allows an authenticated attacker to upload files with attacker-controlled content to a known location on disk due to predictable filenames. Detection should focus on unusual file uploads to sensitive directories or unexpected file types in known locations on Ivanti Connect Secure devices.
